Supplier Quality Engineer – Furniture

1. Support the leader to establish and manage the designated objectives, goals and KPI’s, and report progress periodically to the leaders.

2. Work proactively with performance results to ensure the supplier quality compliance and to drive for continuous quality improvement for Dorel Juvenile Global Markets:

1) Responsible for leading & completing all quality tasks during all NPD stages, including concept, study, DVP, RTP, PP, etc.

2) Ensure that during NPD stage that all relevant product specification/documentation, approval (reference) samples, Design Validation Plan, quality control plans etc. are available and fully reviewed & understood.

3) Ensure products and components meets Dorel Juvenile Quality Requirements by performing Pre-Shipment Inspection, Saft Launch Audit, and/or Process Audit based upon the designated inspection sampling plan, AQL levels, relevant product specification and quality requirements and approval (reference) samples.

4) Work with DJAPO peers, counterparts of Divisions, and Suppliers to ensure Division’ quality requirements, testing protocols, sampling needs, and product/ process controls are fully understood and met.

5) Provide guidance during product debug through testing, analysis of testing results, and suggestions for improvements/solutions to address any substandard results.

6) Ensure all required Quality related Product Development documents are acquired, maintained and filed in the appropriate Quality folder. Documentation includes but not limited to such as product spec (packaging artwork, engineering drawing, fashion spec etc.), DVP, internal and external test reports, RTP etc.

7) Assist in the development of, and support suppliers in the implementation of quality improvement strategies and goals as set by DJAPO or Dorel Juvenile Global Division Provide support to DJAPO Engineering and Suppliers for the development and implementation related improvement of processes, such as process control plans, working station instructions and quality control best practices.

8) Verify and ensure implementation QMS CAP’s at suppliers.

9) Take lead of SUST projects and follow up VAVE/EPPO projects.

10) Performed technical audit for new supplier to ensure they have the. capability to develop the business with Dorel.

11) Teaches and drives supplier Part Production Approval Process (PPAP) compliance.

12) Implement essential quality concepts & tools within supply base.
